 Board of Directors — Hermann Buerger
Hermann Buerger was appointed to EMS Technologies’ Board of Directors in 2003. He serves as chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating & Governance Committee.
Over a 30-year career with the German bank, Commerzbank AG, Mr. Buerger held various management positions, including Regional Board Member and CEO of the bank’s operations throughout the Americas.
A resident of Virginia, Mr. Buerger has been a member of the International Advisory Board of Unibanco of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and of the Advisory Board of the Wharton Real Estate Center. Mr. Buerger is a director of Sapient Corporation.
He has previously served as a trustee of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and as vice chairman of the Institute of International Bankers.
A U.S. citizen and native of Germany, Mr. Buerger holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. |
